Redcar 0 rssb 7
the boys started well today but it was a very scrappy affair in the first half with chances came from headers or scrappy play in the box apart from max h free kick which shook the bar from 25yards. So at half time Vinny kept a clean sheet and Redcar got away with not conceding somehow.
words were spoken at half time and the boys came out fighting and soon took the lead with some a great driving run from Joey which ended up with a rssb free kick Conor delivered a great ball which found Jack Jeffries who thundered the ball into the back of the net. Not long after Conor was involved in play again with a driving run into the box only to get fouled and the ref award a penalty which Conor composed himself and slotted confidently home. The boys were playing some great football now with shots coming thick and fast harry ox let off a rocket but unluckily hit the post but Archie s was there to tap home for the 3rd. With the pressure still on we got multiple corners and Freddie Robbo then decided to shoot direct from the corner hitting a fast curling ball which ended up in the back of the net for the fourth. Jack wasn’t happy with one goal and some good play on the left wing saw him double his tally with another great finish. After a quick refuel Tyger dropped into centre midfield and was keen to keep his goal scoring form up and with some good footwork found himself a yard and rocketed one into the bottom corner from 20yards to make it 6. A few changes were made which saw Louie T drop to right back and Archie Stewart drop into left back with Nate holding the fort at CB with some good passages of play Tyger found himself on the edge of the area again and once more fired home to make it 7 with the boys happy with the result and a smiling Vinny P with another clean sheet this season.
A fantastic second half saw the boys seal the top spot in group D of the champion cup. Onto the knock stages now!
