RSG defeated Barnsley 3-0 with two goals from Isla Ogg, one from Ava Lilley, and solid defensive play highlighted by Ayda’s performance.
Barnsley 0 – 3 RSG
Good result tonight, they were a stronger team than their results show. First half was tight and not much between the two teams. Thought we deserved to go 1-0 up with another poachers goal from Isla Ogg capitalising on some poor defending with a well taken finish.
Second half I made a few changes which seemed to get us playing football more and at times was great to watch. 2-0 with a great shot from outside the box from Ava who had a great second half in the middle. Soon after, some great work down the left and a fantastic through ball for Isla Ogg to take the score 3-0 and game over.
Thought we defensively were great tonight and good to see that one of the girls got GOG
GOG Ayda fantastic at the back tonight especially second half, driving forward with the ball and making some crunching tackles.
