A strong defensive performance and goals from Corina, Imogen, Grace G, and Bella secured a crucial win, leaving the team needing just 4 points from the last two games to secure the league title.
A solid performance built on good defensive foundations today. We worked hard to break up play and to stop York attacking early in the game. We then looked the more dangerous team throughout and settled down playing much better after we scored our second goal. After that we never looked like conceding and made the game safe quite early in the second half.
The result puts us in a great position with 2 games to go. 4 points from the last two games will secure the league. It may be less by the time we play, but it’s in our hands.
