A disappointing exit in the semi final of the ESFA plate. But take nothing away from Ribble Valley, they are a good team. Having made the trip across the Pennines Rotherham couldn’t prevent Ribble Valley taking the lead and extended it in the first half.
The second half performance was much better, but there was too much to do. A goal midway through the second half and an effort that hit the bar put pressure on the opposition, but this wasn’t enough to get Rotherham back in the game.
