10 1st team players missing 4 development lads moved up, only 11 players after 30 mins due to injury. And 1 playing full 80 mins while still ill after being off school most of the week but still wanted to play.
In a game that decided who finished top of the group.
What looked like a weakened team on paper I didn’t see that I saw players hungry, desire, passionate and committed to play for each other the badge and the management team.
Every player dug in on a muddy pitch that chewed up with every minute played.
Every one of them deserved the praise they got in the changing room
One of the best GK performances I’ve seen in a long time by Theo absolutely outstanding and looked unbeatable today.
Jamie M took both penalties with class and never looked under pressure.
All development players have placed a claim to be involved at this level today and leave me with food for thought.
