Match Summary
Despite a strong start and two goals from Edward, the team ultimately suffered a disappointing defeat due to a last-minute goal, highlighting areas for improvement but also showcasing positive aspects in their performance.
A gutting one this morning especially with the way it happened with a last minute goal but the effort and desire of the lads cannot be faulted today.
We started really well with a goal from Jenson to put us in front before an unfortunate equaliser where we didn’t pick up the runner and a flurry of corners which are always tough for us to defend lead to us falling behind.
At half time we moved Edward up front to try and use his pace to get in behind and he did just that. 2 almost carbon copy goals with JJ threading a ball in behind to Edward taking it around the keeper and placing into an empty net brought us back level twice in the game.
In the last few minutes we seemed to slow down and tire and a late goal sealed the result in what was a gutting end.
Lots of learning points and areas to develop were identified but plenty of positives still shone out in the performance.
