Match Summary
A solid team performance secured a deserved victory, with goals from Jack Jeffrey and Harry Walker, marking four wins in the last five games ahead of next week’s cup match.
Another solid team performance with a deserved win. They came into the game 3 points ahead in 4th place, but throughout the game we looked like the time who were higher placed in the league.
After a controlled start we managed to concede an early goal after we let there main danger man run through on goal. We then got back to playing some good football and got our deserved equaliser although not in the manner we were expecting. A speculative effort from outside the area was too hot to handle for for the keeper and it crept over the line.
In the second half we looked in control throughout, apart from the mad 5 minutes where we gave away 2-3 sloppy set pieces, and put ourselves under pressure. However, we defended well and took the lead as result of Harry being a nuisance for their defence and keeper. We asked the boys to hassle and press and this was an example of the reward for doing so.
That’s 4 wins in the last 5 games for us now heading into next weeks cup game.
