Match Summary
A strong performance saw us adapt well to challenging pitch conditions, defending solidly against a top team, and securing goals from Archie Branagan and Harry Walker.
A very good performance this morning against one of the stronger teams in the league. The pitch certainly didn’t help either team play football but we adapted well and looked dangerous every time we played the ball wide and in behind their defence.
Defensively we looked much more solid and coped with their attacking threat well. I thought we defended corners much more confidently too. Their goal was a great strike and not much we could have done about it.
Our goals were very pleasing to see. Good play for the first and then Archie reacting quickly to the follow up. The second was a very good delivery from the corner and a great run from Harry showing a real desire to get to the ball first and put it in the net.
Goals:
Archie Branagan ⚽️
Harry Walker ⚽️
Player of the Match: There were several contenders but Harry Walker ???? got the award for his adaptability, playing in different positions, and his impact by getting the winning goal.
