U15 Development beat Hasland Community 4-0 in the league cup.
It was another week where numbers were low through injury, illness and first team duty. Our opponents are flying high in the league below us and they played with a lot of confidence.
They came at us quickly and had a couple of half chances. After a slow start the boys picked up the pace and started to take control. A great delivery into the box from Noah Mills saw Louis Gregory head home his first goal for RSS.
We kept up the pressure and it paid off when Denzell Gordon crossed for Zack West to prod the ball home.
We went down to ten men as a sin bin kicked in and the boys lifted their levels significantly, making sure that we didn’t concede before half time.
We controlled the second half and a brilliant sequence saw Elijah Omokaro chip the ball into Jacob Watsons path and he hit it in his stride to make it 3-0. The final goal came from an excellent corner delivery from Jacob, it was met superbly by Fiaz Agbabiaka who smashed home his first goal for RSS.
Some really good performances all round as we progress to round 2.
Man of the Match was Louis Gregory. Excellent work rate, grabbed a goal and almost got a second when he rattled the post.
