Selby and RSG, both unbeaten teams, drew 1-1 in a closely contested game with Isla Ogg scoring and GOG Minnie excelling in midfield through strong effort and challenges.
SELBY 1 – 1 RSG
Both teams going into the game unbeaten and there wasn’t much in it for chances created with both teams cancelling each other out. They had the better of the first 10 mins as we didn’t choose the right options playing out from the back which gave them a couple of early opportunities. We took the lead against the run of play with a long ball over the top from the keeper and Isla Ogg capitalised on some poor defending to poke the ball home.
They equalised not long after with a well take finish. 1-1 first half.
Second half we controlled the game dominating possession, we tried to play when we could but only managed to create the 2 or 3 half chances. I think if we had tried to move the ball a bit quicker in one or two situations instead of trying to cut inside or beat a player we would have had a bit more joy. Things to work on going forward but super happy with everyones effort levels .
GOG Minnie worked tirelessly in the midfield again setting the example from min one with some strong challenges .
