Despite a slow start and challenging conditions, RSS U11 Development showed resilience and attacking prowess in an end-to-end match, culminating in a hard-fought performance highlighted by standout efforts from Ben and Jude.
On a windy, wet and cold morning, RSS U11 Development made a slow start which saw Tansley Juniors Blues take advantage and find the net early. Despite the setback, the team worked hard and managed to pull a goal back before half-time to keep themselves in the game.
The second half began with much more energy and determination from RSS. Quick passing and stronger pressing led to some well-taken goals, putting pressure back on the visitors. However, Tansley managed to score a couple more to keep the game finely balanced.
The closing stages were frantic, with RSS piling on the pressure. There were goal-line clearances, shots against the woodwork, and several near misses, before persistence was finally rewarded with more goals for RSS.
It was an end-to-end contest played in tough conditions, with plenty of positives to take from the team’s fighting spirit and attacking creativity.
