U10s Development Team – Tansley Juniors U11

September 20, 2025

On Saturday morning, the RSB boys played a competitive match against Tansley U11’s. A goal from Eddie Quinn, and a penalty by Parker Wood & an OG were the goals, as they adapted to playing up an age group.

The boys played host to Tansley U11’s in a closely fought battle on Saturday morning.

Lots of learning again to take away from the 60 minutes and encouraging pockets of play to work on as we continue to adapt to playing up an age group.

Goals: Own goal, Eddie Quinn, Parker Wood (pen) ⚽️⚽️⚽️

First half saw RSB start brightly with the tackles flying in from the opposition. The lads got their noses infront before Tansley hit back, one goal in particular a really good move it has to be said. The Rotherham lads then finished the period strongly, unlucky not to score on several occasions after springing the offside trap.

Second half RSB switched to two up top and a change in system as we tried to press our opponent higher up the pitch. The meaty tackles continued to flow and the game became bitty in parts until the lads levelled it. A well worked corner saw a deep cross and a smart back post header from Eddie Quinn.

The battle continued and Tansley edged infront once again before the boys really put the pressure on in the final 10 minutes, with Parker Wood slotting home a penalty.

Overall another really competitive game which we will take positives from into next weekend.
