U15s Development Team – Somersall Whirlwinds

September 13, 2025

The U15s Development team battled hard in their first home game. Somersall struck twice early to lead 2–0, but a composed finish from Zack West just before half-time made it 2–1. Despite conceding on the break after the restart, the boys dominated the second half with excellent football. Goals from Max Pattison, including a fine chip and quick rebound, levelled it 3–3. A frantic finale brought chances at both ends, but the match finished honours even.

A first home game for the boys this season and a very slow start. In contrast our opponents came out of the blocks and found themselves 2-0 up after just five minutes. Somersall were the  much stronger team for the first 25 minutes as we found our feet and started to play some nice football.

a couple of chances followed and just before half time Zack West won the ball and placed the ball beneath the keeper making it 2-1.

We started very well second half but got caught in the break conceding what was an excellent goal.

We edged the second half, playing some great football. A high cross from from Jacob Watson  reached Max Pattison who chipped the ball over the keeper to pull the boys back into it.  Shortly afterwards an effort from Zack was palmed away by the keeper and Max was on hand again to tuck it away.

A frantic last ten minutes saw several chances but we had to settle for a draw.  An excellent second half.
