Despite a solid first half, and a period in the second half playing with ten men, the ads dug in against a quality side a year older, resulting in a 5-0 defeat to a strong Maltby side.
A tough day today with players having to fill in different areas due to people missing. We kept solid for the first half however 2 great saves by Henry weren’t enough and Maltby pounced on the rebounds to make it 2-0 at the break.
As the second half began we picked up a few knocks leading to us going down to 10 men for a period of the game which made it very tough. Credit to Maltby they are a great side and didn’t give us much of a chance to play our football.
A tough result but not a performance to be disheartened by.
